Disclaimer: I don't own these people, though I do own the plot. This is only a work of my imagination, so it has never happened and I'm not intending to insult anyone or anything like that.

A/N: This is my first ever Hurts fan fic, so don't be too harsh on me, because I've never written of these guys before. I think it's pretty decent, not the best thing I've ever written, but I hope you enjoy it. I'd love to hear what you think of it, so please comment! Also, sorry for the title, I'm bad at coming up with them :D

The rays of the setting sun were coloring everything in the room with gold and pink. The whiteness of the hotel room’s walls and sheets was replaced by these beautiful shades of the sunshine. The sight of the setting sun, which could be seen through the relatively large window, was breathtaking.

However, neither of the men in the room was seeing it. They were both lying on the bed, looking emotionless, almost lifeless. They just lay there both in their suits, staring at the gold colored ceiling with empty eyes. It was an odd sight, but there was nothing odd about it for those two.

Neither of the two men knew where they were going. They had their tour schedule, they knew the cities they were going to visit, the venues they were going to play at, but they didn’t know where they were actually going together.

A relationship of some kind had evolved between them during the few years they had been in the band together. It was of course natural for some kind of a relationship to establish, as they spent time with each other more than with anyone else. But this wasn’t the most usual relationship between two band mates. There was something very peculiar and significant about it.

It was a lot more delicate. It was a lot more intimate. It was a lot more important.

They had shared more than just so many gigs they couldn’t count. More than just songwriting sessions in a dark basement. More than just their music.

They had shared their feelings and emotions. Embraces in the rain. Quiet kisses in the dark. Cries of passion in their personal heaven.

What they were lacking were words. They had never talked about what they shared. They had never even tried to form words to express their feelings. They didn’t know how they felt about it all. It had all happened so naturally.

However, it was clear that a relationship, which was never discussed, couldn’t work too well. Neither knew how serious the other was about it. It was even more difficult, when they weren’t sure what they wanted from the other. Did they actually want to commit themselves into a serious relationship or would it always stay as something very vague and undefined?

Theo had never been too good with commitment and serious relationship. He was afraid of committing himself entirely to someone. What scared him the most was to be depended on someone, who would in the end leave him alone. No relationship could last forever. At least none of Theo’s relationships. That was why he’d rather keep the distance with Adam as well. It was almost impossible, though, because they were practically together 24/7. There were only very few possibilities to take distance.

Adam was afraid to go further too, but for different reasons. He was afraid of feelings. He had never been good at showing them or registering them properly. He was very uncertain, if what he felt for Theo was as special as it sometimes seemed to be and if Theo felt the same about him. Besides, he wasn’t fond of the thought of feelings getting involved with their work. The thought of their band being destroyed by feelings didn’t really encourage him to let emotions get too involved in their relationship.

Maybe it was better for them to stop it all before it became too deep and serious to just let go.
Adam was lost in his thoughts when he felt Theo’s hand touch his own one slightly. He gave a quick look at Theo, but there was no sign of anything on the other man’s face. Theo looked completely lost in his own world.

Wandering back into his own world of emotions and thoughts, Adam closed his eyes and sighed deeply. Somehow the best of the moments he shared with Theo were always the ones like these, when they didn’t really say nor do anything.

Theo smirked and turned to look at Adam. He had come to some conclusion. He inspected Adam, his closed eyes, eye lashes brushing his cheeks, the dark hair and the stiff looking body. The smirk turned into a small smile. He had always thought music would bring him happiness. And with Adam, it really had brought him the real happiness.

Theo leaned cautiously closer to the other man, closing in the cold space between them. Adam noticed nothing until Theo pressed his wet lips against his cheek gently. Adam turned to kiss Theo properly. Soon they were embracing, lost in the kiss they shared.

It was clear to both of them that this was the only truth. This was what they both wanted. Even if it sometimes made them feel afraid, it would be worth it in the end.

They were already too deep to let go.
